Job summary

CASES is hiring a Senior Peer Specialist for the Manhattan NCS team to provide peer support within a recovery-focused framework. You will engage participants, connect them to mental health and medical services, and assist with housing, benefits, and employment navigation.

The role emphasizes gender-responsive, trauma-informed care and collaborative planning with multidisciplinary team members, rooted in self-determination and community integration.

Qualifications

• Must be a trained/credentialed peer specialist (CPS/CRPA).
• High school diploma or equivalent with related experience.
• Mental health consumer with criminal-legal-system involvement and recovery experience.
• Strong knowledge of wellness, recovery, and self-help.
• Proficiency with computers and databases; written communication skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Engage participants enrolled in ATI services.
• Conduct outreach to engage participation and reduce recidivism.
• Perform needs assessments and identify appropriate services.
• Collaborate with team for case management planning.
• Link participants to income support and health insurance.
