Job summary

A Connecticut civil/traffic engineering firm seeks an experienced Professional Engineer to lead traffic, transportation, civil/site, and infrastructure projects.

This is a client-facing role requiring strong technical skills, project management, and the ability to coordinate with CTDOT, municipalities, and stakeholders.

Candidates with a PE license (Connecticut preferred) or near licensure will be considered; EITs on track to PE may be considered for suitable projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or related field.
• 5–20 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience in traffic/transportation design and site/civil work.
• Strong communication and multi-project management skills.
• PE license strongly preferred; EIT near PE considered.

Responsibilities

• Conduct traffic studies, impact analyses, and intersection evaluations.
• Lead civil/site design from concept through permitting and construction.
• Prepare plans, specs, calculations, and permit applications.
• Coordinate with CTDOT, municipalities, and clients.
• Mentor staff and oversee project teams.
• Develop project schedules, budgets, and cost estimates.
