Job summary

RMG – Engineers seeks a highly motivated Structural Engineer specializing in commercial and residential projects. Lead design, perform calculations, and seal drawings as Engineer of Record while guiding a team.

Active PE license (Colorado or reciprocity within 6 months) and 5+ years of progressive structural experience are required. Proficiency in RISA, ETABS, SAP2000, AutoCAD and Revit, plus strong client management skills, are essential.

Qualifications

• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Colorado (or ability to obtain Colorado reciprocity within 6 months of hire).
• Minimum 5+ years of progressive structural engineering experience, including experience as Engineer of Record (EOR).
• Strong proficiency in structural analysis & design software (RISA 3D/2D, ETABS, SAP2000 or equivalent).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit for construction drawing production and BIM coordination.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical project teams and manage client relations.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design and analysis on commercial and residential projects.
• Prepare, review, and seal structural calculations, drawings, and reports as Engineer of Record (EOR).
• Manage project scope, schedule, and budget with department leadership.
• Serve as primary client, contractor, and regulatory contact for assigned projects.
• Conduct structural field observations and construction administration services.
• Mentor staff engineers and review deliverables prior to submittal.
