Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Manager, Supply Chain: Procurement & Sourcing to lead and deliver complex client engagements in private equity, focusing on procurement and supply-chain improvement. You will design and implement sourcing strategies, work with PE teams, and drive value for portfolio companies.

The role requires deep direct-material expertise, strong analytical skills, and the ability to travel up to 80% across U.S. locations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of combined consulting and/or industry operating experience.
• MBA preferred.
• Experience with private equity sponsors and portfolio companies.
• Deep procurement/sourcing knowledge across direct materials.

Responsibilities

• Understand a client’s procurement organization and sourcing capabilities.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with forecasting, inventory, and logistics.
• Lead supplier identification, contract negotiations, and vendor relations.
• Create implementation plans to drive procurement changes.
• Perform and/or lead analyses including business process mapping and quantitative analysis.
