Job summary

Actalent is seeking an experienced Electrical Distribution Design Engineer for a permanent role based in Tulsa, OK. You will design and review overhead and underground distribution lines from 4 kV to 69 kV, and lead projects including URD, re-conductoring and asset replacement, ensuring compliance with client standards.

The position requires 8+ years in distribution design, PE license, and ABET-accredited degrees (B.S. and M.S.). Travel up to 30% to client sites may be needed.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years of experience with electric utility distribution design projects.
• Eight+ years of experience in overhead, URD, re-conductoring and asset replacement projects, and underground cable/conduit distribution design work package development.
• Eight+ years of experience with complex overhead and underground distribution projects in urban and rural environments.
• PE License is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET Accredited).
• Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET Accredited) will count towards years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and review overhead and underground distribution lines from 4 kV to 69 kV.
• Develop overhead, URD, re-conductoring and asset replacement projects, and underground cable/conduit work packages.
• Lead and coordinate small design teams to develop budgets, scoping documents, design criteria, and project deliverables.
• Provide engineering assistance during construction and attend meetings as needed.
• Review completed designs for client quality and consistency standards.
• Lead and coordinate work activities to complete substation projects.
• Provide training and guidance to lower level employees.
• Interpret codes and regulations and develop standards for construction projects.
