Job summary

J-U-B ENGINEERS, Inc. is seeking an experienced Professional Engineer to join our Surface Water Resources Group in Kennewick, Washington.

You will design irrigation, surface water, water, and wastewater infrastructure across southeastern Washington and beyond, guiding projects through planning, permitting, and construction administration. You will collaborate with clients, agencies, and multidisciplinary teams, using AutoCAD Civil 3D and hydraulic modeling tools to deliver practical solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or equivalent.
• Professional Engineer licensure in Washington or Oregon, or ability to obtain WA licensure through reciprocity.
• 10-15+ years of civil engineering experience related to irrigation, surface water, water, wastewater, or civil infrastructure.
• Knowledge of project permitting and regulatory processes.
• Strong technical, communication, and writing skills.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with clients, project teams, and regulatory agencies.
• Demonstrated leadership, project delivery, and mentoring abilities.
• Experience with irrigation systems, pumps, lagoons, screens, conveyance facilities, or similar agricultural infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Provide design services for irrigation, river intakes, lagoons, dams, and small water systems.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and modeling for on-farm irrigation systems.
• Coordinate permitting and regulatory requirements, including in-water work permits and dam safety.
• Lead project development through planning, design, and construction administration.
• Mentor junior staff and support client relationship management.
