Job summary

J-U-B ENGINEERS, Inc. seeks a Professional Engineer with extensive experience in agricultural irrigation and surface water to join the Kennewick team.

The role focuses on planning, design, permitting, and construction administration for agricultural and municipal projects in southeastern Washington. Work will involve coordination with clients, agencies, and multidisciplinary teams, applying hydraulic modeling and AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil or Agricultural Engineering.
• P.E. licensure in WA or OR, or eligibility via reciprocity.
• 10–15+ years of civil engineering experience in irrigation/surface water.
• Knowledge of permitting and regulatory processes.
• Strong technical, communication, and writing skills.
• Ability to collaborate with clients and regulatory agencies.
• Leadership, project delivery, and mentoring abilities.
• Experience with irrigation systems and related infra.
• Experience with irrigation districts and water delivery systems.

Responsibilities

• Play a key role in all phases of project development, planning, design, and construction administration.
• Analyze engineering data, prepare plans and specifications, and make sound engineering decisions to solve client challenges.
• Prepare technical memoranda, reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for client challenges.
• Collaborate with the Kennewick Surface Water Resources Group and multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects.
• Coordinate permitting and regulatory approvals, including in-water work and dam safety permitting.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Organize and facilitate meetings with project stakeholders and partners.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D, hydraulic modeling, and MS Office to communicate solutions.
• Support project management activities including scope, budgeting, scheduling, and QA.
• Mentor junior staff and support business development efforts.
