Job summary

Analog Devices, Inc. is seeking a Staff PDK Development Engineer to lead the ground-up PDK development for internal semiconductor processes.

You’ll design schematic symbols, PCELLs, DRC/LVS decks, and parasitic extraction flows while coordinating with modeling, ESD, and process engineering teams. You will implement automation flows for testing/validation of front-end and back-end components and support CAD needs across ADI design communities.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering with emphasis on IC design and semiconductor processes.
• Experience with CDFs, Callbacks, Layout P-cells, and schematic symbols.
• Experience in development of DRC, LVS and Parasitic Extraction runsets.
• Proficiency in automation and programming languages (SKILL, Perl, Python, Tcl, Bash).
• Understanding of analog/mixed signal simulation tools.
• Familiarity with EDA tools DRC/LVS methods and parasitic extraction tools.
• Version control and collaboration tools proficiency.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, well organized, and a versatile team player.

Responsibilities

• Develop schematic symbols, CDFs, and callbacks for PDk components.
• Create device layout generators (PCELLs) and commercial interfaces.
• Improve DRC/LVS rule decks and ERC rule decks.
• Develop Parasitic Extraction (PEX) files and flows.
• Enhance automated QA procedures for PDK integrity and efficiency.
• Build runsets for LVL/SVS checks and netlist generation workflows.
• Collaborate with EDA vendors and cross-functional teams to implement CAD improvements.
• Provide technical CAD support to ADI design community.
