Job summary

Analog Devices, Inc. seeks a Staff PDK Development Engineer to build up Process Design Kits for internal semiconductor processes. You will create schematic symbols, layout PCELLs, DRC/LVS decks, and parasitic extraction flows while collaborating with Modeling, ESD and Process teams.

This role requires strong programming skills, IC design knowledge, and the ability to work across CAD tools and vendors. You’ll join the PDK Development Group within Engineering Enablement, contributing to reliable

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering with IC design emphasis.
• Experience with CDFs, Callbacks, Layout P-cells, and schematic symbols.
• Experience with DRC/LVS and Parasitic Extraction runsets.
• Automation and programming languages (SKILL, Perl, Python, Tcl, Bash).
• Understanding of analog/mixed-signal simulation tools preferred.
• Knowledge of parasitic extraction tools from Siemens or Cadence.
• Familiarity with revision control systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, well organized, and a versatile team player.

Responsibilities

• Develop schematic symbols, CDFs, and callbacks.
• Develop device layout generators (PCELLs).
• Develop and improve DRC/LVS rule decks.
• Develop rule decks for ERC verification.
• Develop and validate Parasitic Extraction (PEX) files and flows.
• Improve automated QA procedures for design kits.
• Create runsets for LVL and SVS checks.
• Maintain netlist generation procedures for analog simulators.
• Collaborate with EDA vendors to resolve tool issues and add features.
• Work with design teams to align CAD tooling with process needs.
