Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. invites a Senior/Staff Engineer to join the Dry Etch R&D team, driving plasma-based etch process development for advanced packaging technologies. You will own technical aspects and collaborate with global R&D, suppliers, and manufacturing to shape roadmaps from early research to production.

You will work on AI-era innovation, contribute to cross-functional projects, and influence long‑term technology strategies in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate secure download of foundry collateral from approved channels.
• Track delivery schedules and completeness of collateral versus plan.
• Enforce NDA and access-control policies for restricted foundry data.
• Install and configure PDKs, rule decks, models, and libraries in standardized environments.
• Align toolchain versions with foundry recommendations.
• Maintain directory structures and environment setup for multi-node support.
• Complete PDK validation pipeline: Unit testing (DRC/LVS/ERC/PERC, models, libraries).
• Smoke testing of end-to-end CAD flows.
• Regression testing versus prior PDK releases.
• Confirm that all validation checkpoints are satisfied before transferring to establish teams.
