Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Sr. Sourcing Specialist for PCBA components in Hawthorne, CA. You will own demand planning and strategic sourcing for hardware used in the Starshield constellation, balancing cost, quality, and lead times to scale production.

The role operates within Starshield Supply Chain, collaborating with procurement, planning, supplier development, logistics, and inventory to optimize end-to-end hardware supply for satellites and production facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, material planning, production planning, supply chain management, or engineering; OR 5+ years of experience in lieu of a degree

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sourcing and cost management strategies with key suppliers.
• Aggregate demand for hardware for Starshield constellation to enable an accurate demand signal.
• Act as supplier interface for RFIs, RFPs and RFQs.
• Run the RFX process with internal stakeholders and make sourcing decisions.
• Manage costs to meet project budgets and forecasts.
• Develop should-cost models for competitive cost analysis.
• Ensure suppliers support prototypes, ramp, and mass production.
• Drive cost-saving programs and supplier process improvements.
• Present value propositions to executives on contracts and cost reviews.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier partnerships.
• Implement data management tools to track supplier performance.
