Job summary

Banner Engineering is seeking a Senior PCBA Process Engineer to lead PCBA manufacturing across SMT, COB, and related processes at the Brooklyn Park, MN facility. You will set technical standards, resolve complex issues, and drive improvements in yield, capacity, and cost.

You will mentor engineers, guide new product introductions with DFM and validation, and push strategic initiatives that advance equipment and process capabilities. On-site with cross-functional collaboration at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in PCBA manufacturing and SMT process engineering.
• Expert understanding of PCB assembly processes, equipment, materials, and failure mechanisms.
• Advanced leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Proven track record leading capital equipment projects and process improvements.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior technical authority for PCBA manufacturing across SMT, COB, and related processes.
• Lead resolution of complex PCBA defects and yield issues.
• Establish standards, design rules, and control methods for consistency.
• Lead new product and process introductions including DFM and validation.
• Guide technology roadmaps and evaluate manufacturing capabilities.
