Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned PCB Layout Designer to develop layouts for ECU architectures and collaborate with PCBA/ECAD teams. You will run simulations, perform DRC/DFM checks, and lead design verification to ensure high performance, power efficiency and manufacturability.

The role requires a BS in engineering and 5 years of PCB layout experience, with strong tooling in Mentor Graphics and a proven ability to interface with cross-functional engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 5 years of PCB layout design experience.
• Experience with digital/analog HW interfaces and schematic capture.
• Proficient in Mentor Graphics tooling and DRC/DFM workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop PCB layouts for existing and new ECU architectures.
• Collaborate with PCBA and ECAD engineers on design.
• Run simulations, perform DRC and DFM checks.
• Lead layout verification and optimize for performance, power, and manufacturability.
• Coordinate with circuit, systems and packaging engineers.
