Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned PCB Layout Designer to develop layouts for ECU architectures and collaborate with PCBA/ECAD teams. You will run simulations, perform DRC/DFM checks, and lead design verification to ensure high performance, power efficiency and manufacturability.

The role requires a BS in engineering and 5 years of PCB layout experience, with strong tooling in Mentor Graphics and a proven ability to interface with cross-functional engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 5 years of PCB layout design experience.
• Experience with digital/analog HW interfaces and schematic capture.
• Proficient in Mentor Graphics tooling and DRC/DFM workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop PCB layouts for existing and new ECU architectures.

Job description

Responsibility:

• Develop various PCB layout designs for existing and new architecture-based ECUs
• Collaborate with PCBA and ECAD engineers
• Run simulations, create PCB layouts, and participate in design direction meetings
• Create/lead/verify the layout design by conducting design rule checks (DRC) and design for manufacturability (DFM) checks
• Collaborate closely with circuit designers, system engineers, and packaging engineers
• Optimize the layout design for performance, power, area, and manufacturability

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering
• 5 years working experience in PCB layout design
• Professional experience creating digital/analog HW interfaces including schematic creation and/or PCB layout, simulation & supportive documentation
• Experience in design & analysis tools like Mentor Graphics (schematic & layout)
