Job summary

MiniMed is seeking an experienced Printed Circuit Board Designer to partner with Electrical, RF, and Antenna engineers from concept to production. You will provide layout expertise to deliver reliable, scalable, and cost-effective hardware.

You will work on high-density multilayer layouts, flex and rigid-flex assemblies, and high-speed signal routing with impedance control and crosstalk mitigation. You will generate Gerber/ODB++ files, manage libraries, and ensure IPC standards are met.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Requires minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Detail oriented PCB Designer with schematic capture and high-density multilayer layout.
• Experience with flex and rigid-flex assemblies, RF routing and impedance control.
• Length matching and crosstalk mitigation for high-speed signals.
• Works with high-speed electronics and multi-MCU systems for wearables and medical products.
• Create footprints and manage component libraries.
• Place components, route signals, generate Gerber/ODB++ with Altium; determine optimum layer stackup.
• Knowledge of IPC standards for board design.
• Collaborate with internal teams and PCB fabs on DFM to resolve EQs.
• Perform 3D clearance checks against enclosures.
• Optimize for manufacturability, cost, and performance.
• Generate Gerber/docs and fabrication drawings; understand ASME/ANSI documentation
