Job summary

Insight Global is assisting a top Aerospace client in El Segundo, CA to hire a Buyer IV who can independently manage sourcing, pricing, supplier management, and material availability for complex electronic components and PCB assemblies.

The role emphasizes strategic procurement leadership, supplier negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering, quality, and production control to ensure uninterrupted supply chain and optimal cost structures.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive purchasing experience, with 5+ years in electronics, PCB fabrication, and contract assembly.
• Experience in sourcing, pricing, supplier management and material availability for complex electronics.
• Experience with AS9100 or ISO9001 quality frameworks.
• Strong contract negotiation and supplier relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic sourcing for PCBAs, bare boards, components, and contract manufacturing services at lowest total cost.
• Qualify vendors, evaluate bids, negotiate pricing and terms, monitor supplier quality and on-time delivery.
• Collaborate with engineering on ECOs and component changes, and with production control on ERP signals.
• Manage pull-ins/push-outs, lead-time risks, and oversee inventory control including E&O management.
• Mentor junior buyers and guide lower-level staff as a subject matter expert.
