Job summary

Corvid Technologies in Mooresville, NC is seeking an experienced PCB Designer to drive the end-to-end PCB design cycle, including ECAD layout, library development, and complex multi-layer routing for IPC Class 2 and Class 3 designs.

You will collaborate with electrical engineers and suppliers to perform DFM, DFA, and DFT reviews, establish component and library standards, and ensure accurate 3D STEP models and enclosure fitment.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship is required.
• Experience with Altium Designer for ECAD layout and library tasking.
• Impedance control, stack-up design, and SI/EMI best practices preferred.
• CID or CID+ certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Layout Execution: multi-layer PCB routing for IPC Class 2 and 3 designs, including high-speed interfaces and power circuits.
• Output Generation: fabrication/assembly packages (Gerber, ODB++, drill files, PnP drawings).
• 3D Modeling: integrate STEP models and ensure PCB-to-enclosure fitment with Mechanical Engineers.
• Component Creation: develop schematic symbols and footprints; lifecycle management.
• Standards Knowledge: IPC-6011/12/13, IPC-2221/22/23, IPC-7351, J-STD-001.
