Job summary

Corvid Technologies in Alabama is seeking an experienced PCB Designer to lead the complete PCB design cycle, including ECAD layout, library creation, and multi-layer routing for IPC Class 2/3 designs. The role requires collaboration with electrical and mechanical teams to ensure accurate schematics, STEP models, and DFM/DFT reviews.

You will drive component creation and library standards in Altium, advocate impedance control and signal integrity best practices, and contribute to cost-reduction

Qualifications

• Candidate must be a US Citizen.
• Experience with Altium Designer including ECAD layout and library tasking.
• Knowledge of impedance control, stack‑up design, SI/EMI best practices preferred.
• CID or CID+ certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Layout Execution: multi-layer PCB routing for IPC Class 2/3 designs with high-speed interfaces and power circuits.
• Output Generation: fabrication and assembly packages (Gerber, ODB++, drill files, Pick-and-Place, drawings).
• 3D Modeling: include STEP models for components; ensure PCB‑to‑enclosure fitment; Altium CoDesigner.
• Component Creation: create & maintain schematic symbols and footprints (IPC‑7351); lifecycle management.
• Standards Knowledge: IPC‑6011, IPC‑6012, IPC‑6013, IPC‑2221/2/3, IPC‑7351, J‑STD‑001.
