Job summary

Pixels On Target LLC is seeking an experienced PCB Layout Engineer to design complex, high-density boards for rugged military and harsh-environment applications, using OrCAD and Altium to meet stringent constraints.

You will own the layout end-to-end from floorplanning to release, collaborating with hardware, simulation, and manufacturing engineers to bring products from concept through deployment while supporting prototype builds and production transitions.

Qualifications

• BSEE or BSEET degree required.
• 5+ years of experience in layout of high-speed digital PCBs.
• Understanding of high-speed routing constraints and signal integrity.
• Understanding of multilayer PCB construction and stack-up development.
• Experience with HDI and DDR4 designs.
• Familiarity with constraints-driven PCB layout methodology.
• Hands-on knowledge of Altium and/or OrCAD PCB layout tools.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong oral and written communication within multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Design complex, high-density, multi-layer PCBs for rugged military applications.
• Use OrCAD and Altium to meet electrical, mechanical, and SI constraints.
• Translate schematics and system requirements into optimized PCB layouts.
• Define routing, stack-up, impedance, and manufacturability constraints.
• Collaborate with hardware, simulation, and manufacturing engineers.
• Work with PCB fabrication vendors to achieve impedance targets at high volume.
• Design multilayer and HDI boards including DDR4 interfaces.
• Develop rigid and rigid-flex PCB designs.
• Own layout development end-to-end from floorplanning to release.
• Generate engineering documentation such as ECOs, Gerbers, drawings, and release files.
• Support prototype builds, board bring-up, validation, and production transition.
