Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a PCB Design Engineer for Critical Infrastructure Communications to own the standards for global Altium libraries, footprints, and templates. You will lead PCB design for industrial-grade communications products and drive a world-class design environment across international teams.

The role requires deep PCB layout know-how, ECAD data stewardship, and collaboration across sites to harmonize standards and address manufacturing trade-offs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
• 3+ years in complex, multi-layer PCB Layout and Altium Designer usage.
• 2+ years managing centralized ECAD library (schematic symbols, footprints, components).
• 3+ years electronic hardware design experience.

Responsibilities

• ECAD Governance: lead global Altium ECAD databases and libraries.
• PCB Layout Execution: end-to-end design including multi-layer stackups and high-speed routing.
• DFM: enforce guidelines with Manufacturing Teams for internal/external assembly.
• Infrastructure Ownership: maintain Altium rules, Outjobs, templates across teams.
• Technical Collaboration: work with Hardware Engineers on schematics to hardware.
• Lifecycle & Sustaining: manage ECOs and obsolescence with layout mods.
