Job summary

RTX’s Effector Guidance Electronics Department in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Senior Product Development Engineer (PDE) with PCB/CCA experience to lead manufacturability and producibility efforts.

The role covers digital, analog, and RF design, PCB manufacturing, circuit card assembly, and integration into subsystems, following the Integrated Product Development System to deliver affordable, reliable designs on schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 5+ years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with 3+ years relevant experience.
• Experience in PCB manufacturing or circuit card manufacturing/assembly.
• Knowledge of IPC and MIL specifications and design guides.

Responsibilities

• Respond to Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) for input to the design process (materials, layout, components, etc.).
• Create development schedules/plans and coordinate with Mechanical Eng, ECAD, Parts Eng, Planners, Suppliers.
• Facilitate prototype development, support Producibility Eng, participate in Gate Reviews.
• Assist in identifying and developing PCB/CCA supplier partners.
• Travel to suppliers for assessments and readiness reviews as needed.
