Job summary

Bremerton Housing Authority is seeking a PBCA Compliance Occupancy Specialist III to perform on-site inspections and HUD audits of tenant files and vouchers. The role travels up to 75% within WA and other states, supports management agents, and prepares comprehensive MOR reports.

A Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience are required, with a multi-family occupancy certification. The position is regular full-time, telecommuting remotely in WA, with extensive travel and benefits

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Public Administration, Accounting, Communications, or related field.
• At least 4 years in affordable housing or public housing with HUD forms knowledge.
• Or at least 5 years managing residential properties with auditing responsibilities.
• At least 3 years dealing with diverse customers and professional documents.
• A Multi-family Housing Occupancy certification is required.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable for travel.
• Must participate in regional and overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections of multi-family properties for HUD compliance.
• Perform on-site audits of tenant files, EIV, and Section 8 vouchers.
• Provide feedback to owners and management to resolve deficiencies.
• Travel within the state and occasionally out of state as assigned.
• Book travel arrangements and reconcile travel vouchers.
• Support team by backing up other Compliance/Occupancy Specialists.
• Interact professionally with Owners and Management Agents on HUD handbooks.
