Job summary

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) seeks a seasoned payroll professional to manage biweekly and off-cycle payroll processing, timekeeping calculations, and GAAP/GASB-compliant reporting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with PeopleSoft Payroll & HR is preferred; ability to run payroll queries and analyze data; 4+ years of payroll experience and a bachelor’s

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field or equivalent education/experience.
• Minimum 4 years of payroll-related experience.

Responsibilities

• Handle biweekly payroll processing and off-cycle payroll check processing.
• Manage timekeeping calculations and entries for payroll.
• Ensure adherence to GAAP and GASB standards in payroll reporting.
• Maintain confidentiality and accurate payroll data, communicate with management and employees.
