Job summary

Intuit is seeking a Senior Payroll Tax Processor to resolve payroll tax issues with independence in a high-volume environment. You will handle notices, corrections, amendments, and pay & file processes while mentoring colleagues and expanding technical depth.

The role emphasizes hands-on experience with tax notices, amended returns, and corrections across multiple states, using Salesforce and payroll platforms.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience resolving state and federal payroll tax notices and balance-due notices.
• Experience preparing and approving amended Form 941-X and state equivalents.
• Strong knowledge of tax payment and filing regulations across federal/state jurisdictions.
• Proficiency with payroll platforms and case management systems (Salesforce).

Responsibilities

• Execute full-cycle payroll tax case work for assigned accounts, auditing pre- and post-payroll output and managing filings.
• Independently research and resolve complex payroll tax notices across multiple jurisdictions.
• Prepare agency responses with documentation and meet deadlines.
• Prepare amended payroll tax returns (Federal and state) for complex cases.
• Support payroll correction workflows and document the audit trail from intake to closure.
• Maintain organized WIP queue and manage SLA-driven priorities.
