Job summary

Toyoda Gosei North America, headquartered in Troy, MI, seeks a Senior Payroll Tax Specialist to manage payroll system processes across TGNA and AMCs. You will handle weekly payrolls, garnishments, tax reporting, and off-cycle checks, while collaborating with vendors and internal teams.

The role requires strong US payroll expertise, multi-state knowledge, and data accuracy, with a focus on continuous improvement in HR/payroll processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field or equivalent experience.
• SHRM or CPP certification preferred.
• 4–8 years of UKG Pro/payroll experience in multi-site, multi-state environments.
• 2 years of manufacturing experience preferred; expert knowledge of US payroll regulations.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly expense reimbursements, bi-weekly payrolls, annual bonuses and service awards for multiple sites.
• Manage full-cycle garnishment and levy activity.
• Provide prompt, courteous payroll support via phone, Teams, and email.
• Prepare off-cycle checks, voids, corrections, and quarter/year adjustments.
• Contribute to HR and Payroll improvement projects and Kaizen efforts.
• Maintain accurate employee data and prepare reports (census, 5500, JSOX, workers’ comp forecasts).
• Coordinate with payroll vendor, accounting and tax teams for 940s, SODs, and tax credits.
