Job summary

Esri is seeking a payroll leader to oversee daily multi-state payroll processing in our Redlands, CA campus. You will drive improvements, supervise a team, ensure compliance with federal/state/local laws, and partner with HR and timekeeping systems.

The role requires 5+ years in payroll, 2+ years of supervision, and strong Excel and HCM experience. This onsite position offers a robust total rewards package including health benefits and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• 5+ years of payroll experience including federal, state, and local tax filings.
• 2+ years of supervision or lead experience with performance reviews.
• Experience with a major HCM application and payroll systems.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day processing of multi-state US payroll and ensure compliance.
• Coordinate with payroll vendor for timely tax filings and amendments.
• Supervise payroll staff, assign workload, and conduct performance reviews.
• Support payroll system upgrade testing and HR/timekeeping integration.
• Recommend process changes to improve efficiency; act as back-up when needed.
