Job summary

TPG Staffing is seeking an experienced Payroll Supervisor to oversee day-to-day payroll operations for a portfolio of client companies in Central New Jersey. The role combines hands-on payroll processing with leadership and oversight to ensure accurate, timely payroll across multiple jurisdictions.

The ideal candidate will have extensive payroll experience, expertise with major platforms (ADP, Paychex, Paylocity, UKG), and strong analytical, compliance, and client-service skills.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience.
• Experience providing leadership, supervision, training, or oversight to payroll staff is strongly preferred.
• Experience processing payroll for multiple companies, business units, or client entities is strongly preferred.
• Experience with major payroll platforms such as ADP, Paychex, Paylocity, and/or UKG.
• Strong working knowledge of payroll calculations, taxation, deductions, garnishments, payroll reporting, and payroll compliance.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent payroll experience will also be considered.
• Payroll certification such as CPP or FPC is a plus.
• Strong client-service orientation and ability to develop positive professional relationships.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accurate and timely payroll processing for multiple client companies at various frequencies.
• Remain hands-on in payroll processing and provide coverage when necessary.
• Handle payroll data entry, including time and attendance, earnings, deductions, and employee maintenance.
• Work with multiple payroll applications (ADP, Paychex, Paylocity, UKG).
• Review payrolls before final processing for accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local payroll laws and taxation.
• Manage garnishments, levies, and other deductions.
• Lead onboarding and training of payroll staff and maintain payroll procedures.
