ModernControls, Inc. in Delaware is seeking a Payroll Specialist with strong union payroll and certified payroll experience. You will administer accurate payroll, interpret union agreements, and ensure compliance across wage structures and fringe benefits.

The role requires 3–5 years of hands-on payroll experience under multiple CBAs, with proficiency in Paylocity and Excel. A focus on accuracy, confidentiality, and cross-functional collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of progressive payroll experience, with union payroll, prevailing wage, and certified payroll.
• Direct union payroll experience under multiple CBAs, wage schedules, classifications, jurisdictions, and union requirements.
• Direct prevailing wage experience, including interpretation of wage determinations, fringe requirements, and classifications.
• Certified payroll experience: preparation, review, reconciliation, and submission of reports.
• Experience interpreting collective bargaining agreements with wage rates, overtime provisions, and fringe benefits.
• Experience administering payroll involving multiple unions, locals, classifications, and geographic jurisdictions.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state prevailing wage requirements and payroll compliance laws.

Responsibilities

• Administer accurate payroll with independent review of inputs, time records, and exceptions.
• Interpret and apply union agreements, wage structures, and certified payroll requirements.
• Perform payroll reconciliations, audits, and identify control weaknesses for remediation.
• Resolve employee and manager payroll questions using company policy.
• Support Paylocity administration, data analysis, and process improvements.
