Job summary

Orange County Public Schools seeks a highly capable Payroll Analyst to manage district payroll operations, including check preparation, biweekly processing, and retirement transactions. You will ensure accurate deductions, timely payments, and compliance with federal and state regulations.

The ideal candidate will master SAP payroll processes, provide insightful financial reporting, and handle inquiries from schools and staff with discretion and accuracy, supporting budget and audits across OCPS.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High school diploma or GED with college coursework in finance/accounting and 5 years of accounting/finance/payroll experience (2 payroll-related).
• Knowledgeable in SAP system and payroll processes.

Responsibilities

• Responds to internal and external payroll inquiries and processes payroll and retirement for district employees.
• Reconciles payroll postings and retirement contributions; prepares financial/technical reports.
• Researches payroll issues, garnishments, supplements, and leave accruals; ensures regulatory compliance.
