Orange County Public Schools seeks a highly capable Payroll Analyst to manage district payroll operations, including check preparation, biweekly processing, and retirement transactions. You will ensure accurate deductions, timely payments, and compliance with federal and state regulations.
The ideal candidate will master SAP payroll processes, provide insightful financial reporting, and handle inquiries from schools and staff with discretion and accuracy, supporting budget and audits across OCPS.
Under administrative direction, the purpose of this position is to perform district-based duties associated with handling more complex aspects of payroll operations in the areas of technical responsibilities, quality assurance and retirement. Employees in this classification are responsible for check preparation and production processing of the biweekly payroll, preparation of financial/technical reports; perform reconciliations, research payroll issues, provide technical assistance, monitor policy implementation in compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as perform other highly specialized work specific to the budget department. Performs related work as directed.
High school diploma or GED; supplemented by college-level course work or vocational training in finance/accounting; and five (5) years of accounting/finance/payroll experience, two (2) of which must be payroll related; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Must be knowledgeable in SAP system and payroll processes.
