Job summary

Manitou Group seeks a Payroll and Benefits Specialist in West Bend, Wisconsin. You will manage biweekly payrolls for the US and Canada using Paylocity, administer employee benefits, leaves, and wellness programs, and collaborate with HR, Finance, and Operations.

You’ll need 3–5 years of payroll experience, 1 year in benefits/leave administration, and strong data integrity. This hybrid role offers a base salary with bonus potential and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of payroll processing.
• One year of benefits and leave of absence administration.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
• Excellent problem solving/judgement skills.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Payroll Management: Process biweekly US and Canadian payrolls for 1,000 employees with Paylocity.
• Benefits & Open Enrollment Administration: Manage benefits enrollments and terminations; oversee open enrollment.
• Leave of Absence Coordination: Coordinate FMLA, ADA accommodations, parental leave, and disability programs.
• HR Data Integrity & Collaboration: Ensure accurate data flow and vendor billing reconciliation.
• HRIS Systems & Auditing: Audit Paylocity integrations and payroll/benefits compliance.
• Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to automate HR workflows and improve operations.
• Employee Relations & Inquiry Resolution: Serve as SMEs for payroll, benefits, and leave policy inquiries.
• SOP & Policy Governance: Maintain and enforce payroll/benefits SOPs and policies.
