Job summary

Leonardo DRS Land Systems in Bridgeton, MO is seeking a Senior Payroll Administrator to join our team on a full-time basis. You will manage end-to-end payroll, balance and reconcile figures, prepare bi-weekly journal entries, and maintain accurate payroll accounts.

The role offers an in-person or hybrid work arrangement and requires at least 5 years of payroll experience, with expertise in ADP and related payroll systems, along with strong knowledge of wage laws and compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of payroll experience.
• Mastery of payroll procedures and principles.
• Working knowledge of accounting principles.
• Knowledge of Tax Levy, State and creditor garnishments, and IWOs.
• Proficient with ADP, Cognos, CP, SFT.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of local, state and federal laws related to wages.

Responsibilities

• Process full cycle payroll and balance/reconcile payroll figures.
• Process New Hires, Intercompany transfers, and Terminations.
• Enter employee banking and tax changes in ADP.
• Review and post timesheets weekly.
• Prepare journal entries to record bi-weekly payroll.
• Verify payroll and validate overtime, PTO, and other adjustments.
• Balance payroll data to ADP Payroll Preview before submission.
• Perform three-way reconciliation among Timesheets, Costpoint ERP, and ADP.
• Enter and process garnishments (Tax Levy, IWOs, state/creditor garnishments).
• Balance year-end W-2 data and related items.
• Respond to payroll inquiries from employees and management.
• Prepare various payroll reports and additional journal entries as needed.
• Conduct monthly reconciliations of payroll liability and cash GLs.
