Job summary

Baker Tilly Advisory Group, LP is seeking a Payroll Specialist in Pennsylvania to manage client payroll data, ensure accuracy, and resolve discrepancies. You will review payrolls, calculate bonuses or severance, and prepare earnings reports for client accounts.

Additionally, you will support implementation teams, train clients on payroll processes, maintain confidentiality, and provide timely, accurate service to multiple clients in a deadline-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant payroll experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred, experience can be considered in lieu of degree.
• CPP preferred.
• Experience with ADP RUN software and implementation experience.
• Working knowledge of Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Highly detail oriented and focused on accuracy.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Ability to effectively work in a deadline driven environment serving multiple clients.
• Ability to provide exceptional client service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; appropriately and professionally communicates with all levels.
• Ability to learn new technology and processes quickly.
• Ability to learn from experiences and share with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Client Service & Deliverables: Ensure client payroll information is accurate and resolve discrepancies.
• Review and process payrolls in a timely manner to meet client deadlines.
• Update employee records, calculate/paying bonuses or severance, review tax calculations, and reconcile deposits.
• Prepare reports of earnings, taxes, deductions, and employer contributions for social security and unemployment.
• Establish strong and trusted client relationships and maintain confidentiality of employee data.
• Provide technical software support to clients and identify out of scope work.
• Support implementation team and train clients on payroll processes as needed.
• Mentor new hires and contribute to team knowledge and development.
