Job summary

JFC Staffing Companies seeks a Senior Payroll Specialist to own end-to-end payroll operations in a high-volume, multi-state environment. You will manage bi-weekly payroll from start to finish, ensure accuracy, file taxes, and handle year-end processing.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of payroll experience, strong Excel skills, and a solid understanding of federal, state, and local payroll taxes. You will work with HR to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of comprehensive payroll processing experience.
• Experience with high-volume and/or multi-state payroll.
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll taxes.
• Experience with garnishments, unemployment, and payroll-related reporting.
• Payroll system implementations or conversions preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet multiple deadlines.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support employees with payroll-related questions and concerns.
• Assist with payroll system upgrades, implementations, and process improvements.
• Prepare payroll reports and maintain accurate records for accounting and audit purposes.
