Job summary

Miles Partnership is seeking a Payroll Supervisor to lead day-to-day payroll operations across multiple states and entities. You will review payroll execution, resolve complex issues, and strengthen controls while acting as the payroll subject-matter expert.

The role requires managing tax compliance, process improvements, and collaboration with Finance, HR, and Compliance to ensure accurate, timely payroll with strong data integrity. Denver area preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive payroll experience in a multi-state environment.
• Experience independently administering and reviewing end-to-end payroll.
• Strong experience with ADP Workforce Now.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax requirements, wage and hour rules, and payroll compliance.
• Experience reviewing the work of others and training payroll staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee payroll processing across multiple states and entities for accuracy and timeliness.
• Provide direction, training, and support to payroll team members.
• Review payroll inputs, changes, earnings, deductions, and taxes before processing.
• Process payroll directly as needed to ensure continuity.
• Investigate and resolve complex payroll discrepancies, tax issues, and jurisdictional questions.
• Maintain payroll controls with documented procedures, calendars, and checks.
