Job summary

Qualifications

  • Four-year degree in accounting, business or related field is required.
  • At least five years related experience, with minimum two years in supervisory/managerial capacity.
  • Position may be eligible for some telework after waiting period.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains procedures and control of weekly payroll processing for ~1200 employees.
  • Prepares, verifies and reconciles payroll data input/output.
  • Ensures compliance with MWRA policies, procedures and union contracts.
  • Reviews time sheets and payroll changes; oversees related changes.
  • Maintains payroll system transaction logs and table changes.
  • Reconciles weekly and monthly payroll reports and deductions.
  • Oversees payroll deductions and interfaces with accounts payable.
  • Responds to payroll inquiries and provides timely assistance.
