Quaise Energy, Inc is seeking a Payroll Manager to lead and optimize payroll operations across multiple U.S. states. The role focuses on accuracy, compliance, and system modernization, including Paycom implementation and strong internal controls.

The successful candidate will partner with HR, Finance, and leadership to scale payroll processes for a fast-growing energy company, ensuring proactive tax compliance and auditable records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
• CPP certification is preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive payroll experience in a multi-state environment.
• Experience with Paycom implementation and administration is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations and wage and hour laws.
• Experience leading payroll system implementations and HRIS/payroll conversions.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end payroll processing for multi-state employees.
• Ensure accurate, timely payroll including bonuses, equity events, and expat/payroll complexities.
• Maintain compliance with federal/state/local payroll tax regulations and reporting.
• Oversee registrations, unemployment accounts, and local tax setup as expansion occurs.
• Lead Paycom system implementation, upgrades, and ongoing optimization.
• Provide payroll guidance to employees and managers and support audits.
