Pro Max Fence Systems, LLC in Reading, PA is seeking a Payroll Manager to oversee all payroll operations, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and manage complex multi-state and union payroll.

The role emphasizes process improvements, data integrity in HRIS, and collaboration with HR, Finance, and project teams to resolve issues and prepare reports. CPP preferred; experience in construction payroll is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of progressive payroll experience including leadership or management responsibilities.
• 3+ years managing multi-state payroll operations.
• Experience processing payroll in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of prevailing wage, certified payroll reporting, and Davis-Bacon compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll for hourly, salaried, union, and non-union staff.
• Ensure timely processing of weekly, bi-weekly, and special payrolls.
• Review payroll transactions including wages, deductions, garnishments, bonuses, and reimbursements.
• Maintain payroll records and data integrity in HRIS systems.
• Administer payroll across multiple states and jurisdictions.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements.
• Coordinate registrations, tax filings, and payroll audits as needed.
• Monitor changes in payroll-related legislation.
• Oversee prevailing wage and certified payroll reporting for public works.
• Collaborate with project managers, field ops, and accounting to validate labor classifications.
