Job summary

The International Republican Institute (IRI) is seeking a Payroll Manager to oversee the payroll and timesheet function in Washington, DC. You will manage semi-monthly US-based and expatriate payroll, ensure data integrity, and coordinate with Finance and HR using UKG and JAMIS.

Responsibilities include year-end processing, W-2 reconciliations, tax filings, leave accruals, garnishments, and reporting. The role requires a minimum of 5 years accounting experience and 3 years payroll processing,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management.
• Minimum 3 years of processing payroll, preferably with UKG.
• Good communicator, both verbally and in writing.
• Detail oriented and highly organized.
• Collaborative, team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee payroll processing for US-based staff and expatriates using UKG and JAMIS.
• Ensure accurate tax withholdings, deductions, and benefits.
• Manage year-end processes, W-2 reconciliations, and quarterly filings.
• Maintain timesheet and labor data integrity across systems.
• Collaborate with Finance and HR to produce accurate GL postings.
• Lead payroll-related projects and process improvements.
• Prepare periodic payroll reports for management.
