Job summary

Type One Energy is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to own the day-to-day administration of our U.S. and international payrolls through Rippling.

You will ensure employees are paid accurately and on time while helping us scale payroll processes as the company grows. You will manage payroll across multiple jurisdictions, handle payroll tax and unemployment accounts, and collaborate with HR, Finance, and Accounting on changes, compliance, and reporting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of payroll experience; multi-state U.S. payroll.
• Experience managing payroll across jurisdictions; international payroll is a plus.
• Strength in payroll tax filings and compliance.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration with HR, Finance, and Accounting.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to resolve discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Manage accurate and timely payroll processing for our global workforce through Rippling.
• Review payroll changes, registers, and reports for accuracy before each payroll.
• Coordinate payroll calendars across countries and jurisdictions.
• Validate new hires, terminations, compensation changes, bonuses, deductions, and other payroll-impacting transactions.
• Support year-end payroll activities and employee tax reporting across applicable jurisdictions.
