Senra Systems, Inc. in Redondo Beach, CA is seeking a Payroll Manager to own end-to-end payroll for a largely non-exempt workforce. You will ensure timely, accurate payroll while maintaining wage-and-hour compliance and partnering with People and Finance teams.

The role emphasizes California payroll requirements, timekeeping controls, and continuous process improvements. Onsite work at HQ, with opportunities to improve payroll systems and reporting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive payroll experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience administering payroll for a significant non-exempt/hourly population.
• Strong knowledge of federal and California payroll tax requirements.
• Proficiency with timekeeping and wage-and-hour regulations.
• Proficiency with a major payroll/HRIS platform and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for a growing workforce with controls and accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage-and-hour rules, focused on California for non-exempt employees.
• Oversee timekeeping, including missed punches, meal/rest periods, overtime, and shift differentials.
• Review payroll inputs and time records, identify trends, and partner with managers to correct root causes.
• Maintain payroll records, wage statements, tax filings, garnishments, and reporting requirements.
• Own W-2 preparation, quarterly and year-end activities, and vendor coordination.
• Provide payroll support for new hires, terminations, leaves, benefits, and employee status changes.
