Job summary

RiseMe is seeking a Senior Payroll Manager to lead a small team and own end-to-end payroll processing across multiple jurisdictions in the United States. You will ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance while partnering with HR, Finance, and IT to support system changes.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of payroll experience, CPP certification, and hands-on leadership, with strong Excel and UKG Pro skills. Responsibilities include audits, reconciliations, and process improvements.

Qualifications

• CPP certification required.
• 7+ years of progressively responsible payroll experience.
• Experience overseeing multi-state payroll.
• Hands-on payroll processing and issue resolution required.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
• Experience leading 2–4 payroll professionals.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop 2–4 payroll team members.
• Oversee end-to-end payroll operations to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Act as backup for the Director of Payroll to ensure continuity.
• Review reconciliations and reports to identify errors and compliance issues.
• Provide hands-on support with complex earnings, deductions, taxes, and retroactive payments.
• Investigate escalated payroll questions and coordinate with HR, Finance, and HRIS.
