Job summary

Gallagher is seeking a Payroll Specialist to administer complex payrolls and manage tax configurations for multiple clients. You will reconcile filings, advise on best practices, and drive improvements across HRIS/Payroll platforms within a collaborative, often virtual team environment.

You’ll work with leading payroll systems and have a strong emphasis on accuracy, confidentiality, and timely delivery to clients while supporting Gallagher’s global reach and local impact.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in payroll specialist or payroll administrator roles.
• Proficiency in Excel, including formulas, Pivot Tables, and the use of VLOOKUP.
• Experience with payroll/HRIS implementations.
• Experience with reconciliations on a per payroll basis and quarterly/annual reconciliations.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Administer complex payrolls
• Manage day-to-day payroll tax configurations
• Reconcile quarterly/annual tax filings and related projects
• Provide service to multiple clients using various solutions
• Offer best practices, process improvements, and ensure compliance
• Create and maintain documentation of processes, procedures, training
• Work in a virtual team environment or autonomously
• Identify and recommend HRIS/Payroll enhancements
• Build and maintain client relationships
• Manage several projects and clients simultaneously
• Prioritize meeting client deliverables and deadlines
