Job summary

Knighted seeks an experienced Director of Payroll to lead the full payroll function across multiple entities, reporting to the CFO. This senior role ensures accurate bi-weekly and off-cycle processing while maintaining multi-state compliance and strong internal controls.

You will drive platform optimization and cross-functional partnership with Finance, HR, and Legal. The ideal candidate has deep UKG knowledge, CPP preferred, and a proven record building scalable payroll programs in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Extensive multi-state payroll experience with leadership focus.
• Strong knowledge of payroll tax compliance and reporting.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accurate bi-weekly and off-cycle payrolls across entities.
• Ensure full federal, state, and local compliance for payroll.
• Manage garnishments and year-end reporting (W-2s, 1099s).
• Maintain data integrity across payroll systems and processes.
• Lead payroll policy development and cross-functional alignment.
