Job summary

The role requires 3 years of payroll experience, familiarity with ADP/Workday/SAP and strong analytical skills. A Bachelor's degree is preferred, CPP is a plus; mostly remote with proximity to Baker Tilly offices.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of payroll experience in consulting, provider, or in-house environment.
• Strong knowledge of multistate payroll processes and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with payroll tax forms and filings (e.g., 941, 941-X, W-2C).
• Proficiency in Excel and MS Office; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support payroll consulting engagements across clients, industries, and geographies.
• Assess and improve client payroll processes, controls, and procedures.
• Perform multistate payroll compliance reviews including federal/state/local rules.
• Assist with payroll setup, earnings, deductions, and tax treatments.
• Collaborate with teams to deliver accurate, timely work and report findings.
