Job summary

AVI-SPL is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to ensure payroll compliance across state, federal, and local rules. You will audit setups, implement changes in tax laws, and collaborate with the accounting team and UKG to maintain accuracy and timeliness.

Day-to-day responsibilities include handling payroll inquiries, processing multistate transactions, preparing reports for senior management, and supporting audits.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of payroll processes and US payroll tax.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Clear and professional communication (written and oral).
• Ability to work with all levels of the organization.
• Proficient with UKG Pro and payroll reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage inquiries and requests related to payroll preparation and distribution.
• Assist in processing multistate payroll transactions including salaries, bonuses, deductions.
• Prepare reports and forecasts for senior management.
• Coordinate payroll tax information with third-party processor and filings.
• Support audits by providing records and documentation.
• Ensure timely processing of payroll updates for hires, terminations, pay rate changes.
