Job summary

Permasteelisa North America is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Manager to lead end-to-end payroll operations for US and Canada from our Bloomington, MN office. You will manage the payroll team, ensure compliant processing for union and non-union employees, and coordinate benefits programs with external providers.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree, 10+ years in payroll/benefits, and professional payroll credentials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (or equivalent experience).
• 10+ years payroll and benefits administration experience; US and Canada focus.
• Certified Payroll Professional or Payroll Compliance Practitioner is required or highly preferred.
• Experience with ADP, SuccessFactors, and payroll-related HRIS.

Responsibilities

• Oversee US & Canadian weekly and bi-weekly payroll in ADP for 500+ employees (union and non-union).
• Ensure accurate tax submissions, quarterly/year-end reporting, and W-2s/T4s compliance.
• Lead, coach, and develop the payroll team and coordinate with benefits.
• Serve as liaison with insurance/benefit providers and drive employee relations.
• Oversee leave administration (FMLA, STD/LTD) and payroll-related audits and reporting.
• Manage vendor relationships and enhancements to payroll systems and controls.
