Job summary

RTX Corporation is seeking a Payroll Operations Senior Coordinator to administer benefits-related pay processing across multiple RTX units. The role ensures accurate earnings, deductions, and compliance for Savings Plans, Health and Welfare, and Voluntary Deductions for active, transfer, and terminated employees.

Qualifications

• Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in payroll operations or an adjacent field, preferably in a large multi‑business unit organization.
• Experience with payroll concepts including benefits, earnings, deductions, pretax adjustments, autopay, and offsets.

Responsibilities

• Review and process payroll benefits cases submitted via ServiceNow (SNOW) for all business units.
• Research, evaluate and ensure payroll benefit issues and discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.
• Complete Benefits payroll processing procedures while ensuring accurate earnings and deductions and meeting strict state compliance payroll deadlines.
• Ensure alignment to RTX standard work, knowledge of RTX's Benefit plans, and excellent customer service and flawless execution.
• Apply state/local laws, union rules, and business unit policies to transaction processing while supporting audit activities by maintaining accurate and timely documentation for all payroll actions.
• Prepare, audit, and submit benefit payment transactions related to terminations, transfers, and leave of absence for employee changes across all divisions.
• Collaborate with the Payroll Service Center to load, validate, and reconcile overpayment and arrears payments.
• Collaborate with Total Rewards, Leave of Absence, Human resources, Payroll Ops, Vendors and Time & Labor Teams on case processing and employee inquiries.
• Directly communicate results of calculations, discrepancies, and case resolutions to employees and stakeholders.
• Participate in testing payrolls and reviewing the outcome and troubleshooting issues.
• Review and ensure payroll benefits activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations in regard to 401K, HSA, FSA, and company match programs.
• Self-starter able to work effectively in a fast-paced highly collaborative cross functional team environment with excellent verbal and written communication skills using Microsoft Office suite of applications.
