Job summary

RTX Corporation in Greenville, TX is seeking a Payroll Operations Senior Coordinator to manage benefits processing across RTX units. Qualifications

  • Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in payroll operations or an adjacent field within a large multi‑business unit organization.
  • Experience with payroll concepts including benefits, earnings, deductions, pretax adjustments, autopay, and offsets.

Responsibilities

  • Review and process payroll benefits cases submitted via SNOW for all business units.
  • Research, evaluate and ensure payroll benefit issues and discrepancies are resolved timely.
  • Complete Benefits payroll processing procedures ensuring accurate earnings and deductions and meeting deadlines.
  • Ensure alignment to RTX standard work, knowledge of RTX Benefit plans, and excellent customer service.
  • Apply state/local laws, union rules, and unit-specific policies to transaction processing.
  • Prepare, audit, and submit benefit payment transactions for terminations, transfers, and leaves across divisions.
  • Collaborate with Payroll Service Center to load, validate, and reconcile overpayment/arrears payments.
  • Communicate results of calculations and resolutions to employees and stakeholders.
  • Participate in testing payrolls and review outcomes.

Payroll Operations Senior Coordinator – Benefits processing role

The following position is to join RTX Enterprise Services team: The Payroll Operations Senior Coordinator – Benefits processing role is responsible for administering benefit related pay processing actions across multiple RTX business units including: Raytheon, Collins Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney, and Corporate. This role ensures accurate calculation, entry, reconciliation, and compliance for processes including but not limited to: Savings Plan, Health and Welfare, and Voluntary Deductions for active, transfer, and terminated employees. This position will be closely partnered with the following teams: Leave of Absence, Payroll Operations, Time and Labor Management, Human resources, Business units’ representatives and Vendor providers to ensure timely and accurate payroll transaction processing.

What You Will Do
  • Review and process payroll benefits cases submitted via ServiceNow (SNOW) for all business units.
  • Research, evaluate and ensure payroll benefit issues and discrepancies are resolved in a proper and timely manner.
  • Complete Benefits payroll processing procedures while ensuring accurate earnings and deductions and meeting strict state compliance payroll deadlines.
  • Ensure alignment to RTX standard work, knowledge of RTX’s Benefit plans, and excellent customer service and flawless execution.
  • Apply state/local laws, union rules, and business unit – specific policies to transaction processing while supporting audit activities by maintaining accurate and timely documentation for all payroll actions.
  • Prepare, audit, and submit benefit payment transactions related to terminations, transfers, and leave of absence for employee changes across all divisions.
  • Collaborate with the Payroll Service Center to load, validate, and reconcile overpayment and arrears payments.
  • Collaborate with Total Rewards, Leave of Absence, Human resources, Payroll Ops, Vendors and Time & Labor Teams on case processing and employee inquiries.
  • Directly communicate results of calculations, discrepancies, and case resolutions to employees and stakeholders.
  • Participate in testing payrolls and reviewing the outcome and troubleshooting issues.
  • Review and ensure payroll benefits activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations in regard to 401K, HSA, FSA, and company match programs.
  • Self-starter able to work effectively in a fast-paced highly collaborative cross functional team environment with excellent verbal and written communication skills using Microsoft Office suite of applications.
Qualifications – You Must Have
  • Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, 8 years of relevant experience may be considered.
  • Experience in payroll operations or an adjacent field, preferably in a large multi‑business unit organization.
  • Experience with payroll concepts including benefits, earnings, deductions, pretax adjustments, autopay, and offsets.
Qualifications – We Prefer
  • Experience working with complex multi‑system workflows, adhering to federal laws and regulations while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with analytical, reconciliation, and audit skills.
  • Experience working with tools such as ADP EV5 and/or Global View, Workday, Service Now, and reporting systems.
  • Experience in analyzing Leave & Earnings Statement documents for benefits related payroll calculations and explanation.
  • Experience processing termination and transfer transactions related to final pay and other time‑off payouts across business units especially as it relates to benefits.
  • Familiarity with SOX controls and payroll compliance processes.
  • Experience in excel analytical skills (Pivot Tables, Xlookup, etc.)

Other Details

The salary range for this role is 53,100 USD - 100,900 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
