Job summary

Southland Industries seeks a Payroll Specialist to manage weekly onboarding of union employees, review orientation documents, and maintain ERP payroll data. You will collaborate across divisions to support a scalable payroll and benefits framework, while delivering exceptional service to employees and coordinating with Foremen and Managers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• Proficiency with intermediate to expert Excel and payroll processing/reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate employee payroll records including new hires, status changes, and terminations.
• Monitor PTO balances and generate regular reports for management.
• Identify payroll needs and coordinate with all levels to resolve issues from weekly payroll audits.
• Support audits and assist with payroll adjustments and documentation.
